Official manual / App Store purchase verification

Shadowrocket
Download & Purchase Guide

Shadowrocket is a paid app sold exclusively on the App Store as a one-time purchase. Verify the listing first, then check your account region and device compatibility.

01App Store storefront and account region

Whether Shadowrocket appears depends first on the App Store storefront for your Apple ID. The mainland China storefront does not offer the app. If search returns no results, check the storefront region instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. The link on this page opens the same Shadowrocket App Store listing; availability depends on your account, storefront, and device.

Your Apple ID country or region determines which storefront you see. Changing your device language or regional format, or opening a listing in a browser, does not change the storefront for your purchasing account. Also distinguish the account used for cloud services from the one used for Media & Purchases. For app purchase issues, check the latter.

Check the purchasing account

  1. Open Settings on your device and tap your Apple ID account at the top.
  2. Tap Media & Purchases, choose View Account, and complete any authentication prompts.
  3. Check Country/Region to confirm the storefront region for the purchasing account.
  4. Return to the App Store, open the product link on this page, and check the price and availability shown for your storefront.

To find the storefront region settings, go to Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. This is only the location of the system setting. Follow the account page instructions to check whether a change is allowed and what conditions apply. Your account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing status, or payment details may affect the process, so don't assume a change can be completed immediately.

If the product page opens but the purchase button shows a payment or account issue, address that message first. If the app isn't available in your region, check the account region; if your device isn't compatible, review the listing's compatibility section. These are separate issues. Recording the exact message is more useful than repeatedly tapping Buy.

02Verify the listing: developer, icon, and app ID

Before buying, check all three details: the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited, the icon is a rocket with a blue-purple outline on a white background, and the app ID in the product link is 932747118. The name and icon can help identify the app, but neither is conclusive on its own. Verify the developer and app ID before proceeding to payment.

  • Developer
Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Check the name exactly as shown in the App Store listing.
  • Official icon
A rocket with a blue-purple outline on a white background, matching the official icon used on this site.
  • App ID
932747118. The product link ends with id932747118.

What to check when opening a search result

When searching the App Store, open the full product page rather than relying on the name in the results list. Apps with identical or similar names may appear in search results; a name containing “rocket” is not enough to verify the app. Check the developer, then compare the app ID with the one on this page. If either detail differs, stop the purchase and return to the product link here.

An app ID identifies an App Store listing; it is not a version number. It appears in the product page URL, and this page links to id932747118. Screenshots, descriptions, and interface layouts may change with updates, so use the developer and app ID to verify the listing.

Once you've confirmed the correct listing, review its price, compatibility, and purchase confirmation. The payment sheet shows the actual transaction details, with the amount and currency based on your storefront. If you've already purchased the app but still see a price, pause and check the purchasing account using the Restore Purchases steps below. Don't assume paying again is the way to restore a purchase.

App updates are handled through the App Store. Read the update notes on the current product page, and use the App Store's update controls to update the installed app. This manual does not use a specific version number or release date to verify authenticity, so normal updates aren't mistaken for a change in the product.

03Get started on iPhone

On iPhone, first confirm that the App Store is using the Apple ID you plan to use for the purchase, or used to buy Shadowrocket previously. Then open the verified product page. Follow the prompts to confirm payment for a first-time purchase; if you've already purchased the app, an option to download it again will usually appear. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and review compatibility before buying. Device names in this manual are not a guarantee that every model is compatible.

Payment and downloading the app are two separate steps. After confirming the purchase, wait for the app to finish downloading to your Home Screen, then open Shadowrocket. If the icon remains pending, check your network connection and available storage, and look for any account prompts in the App Store. The app has not started running yet, so there's no need to change its DNS or rule settings.

VPN configuration permission on first connection

Installing the app does not provide a server. Have your own subscription or server details ready, then choose Subscribe, Add Server, or another supported in-app import option. An App Store purchase receipt is not a server address, and app sign-in or system payment details do not belong in server fields.

When you start a connection, iOS may show a prompt to add a VPN configuration. This allows the app to create the relevant network configuration on your device; it does not mean you are buying the app again. Confirm that the prompt is for the Shadowrocket app you're using, read the system message, and decide whether to allow it. If device authentication is required, follow the device's own verification process.

After granting permission, check the selected server and Global Routing. Config applies the rules in the current configuration; Proxy and Direct represent different routing modes. Choose the appropriate option for your configuration. Turning on the connection is not the same as confirming that websites load correctly; verify the connection the first time you use it.

For the next steps, see the setup guide and follow the sequence: import, select Global Routing, connect, and verify. If the app downloaded successfully but the connection fails, troubleshoot your in-app server, DNS, and rules first. Reinstalling the app is not the first step and may add extra work to restore your configuration.

04iPad and other compatible devices

One purchase with the same Apple ID lets you get Shadowrocket on compatible iPhone and iPad devices. If you bought it on iPhone, find the app in your App Store account's purchased items on iPad, then download it. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase availability.

Before you start, confirm that your iPad uses the original purchasing account for Media & Purchases. Using the same cloud sync settings on both devices does not prove that they share an App Store purchasing account. If a price appears again, check your purchase history first. Once you've confirmed the account and purchase, you typically won't need to buy the app again for iPad.

Check interface layout and configuration transfer separately

The larger iPad display may arrange lists, details, and navigation differently from iPhone. Use interface names and settings such as Home, Config, and Settings to find your way through the guide; buttons don't have to be in the same place as on a phone. Device orientation and display size can also change how a screen looks.

App purchase history and in-app configuration are separate kinds of data. Downloading the app on iPad does not mean subscriptions, server lists, and rules from another device have synced. Check what is already there. If anything is missing, import your own saved subscription or server details and review the active configuration. Grant VPN configuration permission on the device where you plan to use the app.

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing also includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the App Store listing for compatibility, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. These devices are also supported through the App Store; there is no separate download source. Before buying, review the information shown in the storefront on the device you plan to use.

The getting-started steps in this manual focus on iPhone and iPad. Don't assume touch controls work the same way on other devices or that every setting has identical interactions. To check whether a device is compatible, refer to the App Store compatibility information shown for that device and the app's actual interface.

05New device, reinstall, and restore purchases

Shadowrocket purchase history is associated with the Apple ID used to buy the app. When switching iPhone or iPad, or reinstalling after deletion, sign in with the original purchasing account, find the app in the App Store's purchased items, and download it again at no charge. Restore the app first, then check in-app data and network configuration to keep the issues separate.

  1. Open the App Store, go to your account page, and confirm the Apple ID currently used for purchases.
  2. Open Purchased. The location or label may vary by system version; look for your app purchase history in the interface shown on your device.
  3. Find Shadowrocket, verify the developer and app details, then choose to download it again.
  4. Open the app and check whether your subscriptions, servers, and configuration have been restored. If anything is missing, import it from your own saved details.

If a price still appears, don't confirm the purchase again yet

First check whether the current account is the one used for the original payment, then review its purchase history. Being signed in to an Apple ID on your device does not mean that account made this purchase. If the app isn't in the purchase history, check which account you actually used and verify it against the account's records. Having installed the app before does not prove that the current account owns the purchase.

If the purchase history confirms the purchase but the product page still shows an unexpected status, note the App Store message and use the App Store account or support options. Current availability, account status, and transaction status must be checked with the relevant storefront. In-app connection toggles, rules, and DNS settings cannot change purchase history.

Restoring the app itself does not restore your entire setup. A new device may require VPN configuration permission again, and you may need to reimport subscription or server details. Check the selected server, Global Routing, and Config, then verify that they still match your needs before testing the connection. For detailed organization tips, see the server management guide.

Before deleting the app from an old device, make sure your own subscription details, server information, and any necessary configuration are safely saved. Subscription links and server credentials may grant access and should not be shared publicly. For Family Sharing, check the current product page and family account terms; restoring your own purchase does not guarantee that every family member can use it.

06Price, one-time purchase, and service boundaries

Shadowrocket is a commercial app sold as a one-time purchase, not a monthly subscription. The US price reference is $2.99; other storefronts show local currency. Check the App Store product page and payment confirmation for the actual price. The US dollar reference is not a fixed price for every region.

A one-time purchase describes how you buy the app: the purchase is linked to the relevant Apple ID, and you can redownload it on eligible devices through the App Store's purchased-items flow. It does not cover all network services or replace the App Store's information about device compatibility, account status, and purchase availability. Check the same product listing for each compatible device.

A subscription link is used in the app to import and update server details; it is different from an App Store subscription for purchasing the app. If you've bought Shadowrocket but have no servers in the list, check the import details. If servers imported successfully but the purchase is missing from the current account, that's a separate account issue. Troubleshoot them separately.

Whether an in-app server connects depends on the details entered, server status, network conditions, and configuration. A successful app purchase does not guarantee a connection. When importing for the first time, check the protocol, address, port, and required authentication fields. If an existing subscription won't update, check the original link and any error message. Buying the app again will not fix a connection issue.

Before buying, check three things: are you on the product page with app ID 932747118, do your account and device meet the App Store requirements, and do you already have the details you need to import? The first two determine whether you can buy and download the app; the third affects setup after installation. Keeping these questions separate makes it easier to restore purchases, update, and troubleshoot later.

Shadowrocket download and purchase FAQs

Can't find Shadowrocket on the App Store? What to check first

First check the country or region for the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases. Shadowrocket is not available in the mainland China storefront. Your device language and physical location do not determine your account's storefront. Open the product link on this page and follow the storefront's instructions.

The product page opens, but the download won't complete. What should you do?

Note the App Store message, then check the purchasing account, storefront region, payment status, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection. Troubleshoot purchase errors and stalled downloads separately from connection issues within the app.

Do you have to pay again when switching iPhones or reinstalling the app?

On the App Store, sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase, find Shadowrocket in your account's purchased items, and download it again at no charge. If a price still appears, check the purchasing account and purchase history. After restoring the app, check whether your subscriptions, server details, and configuration have also been restored.

Can you install Shadowrocket on iPad after buying it for iPhone?

Yes. One purchase with the same Apple ID lets you get Shadowrocket on compatible iPhone and iPad devices. Find it in the App Store's purchased items on your iPad. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase availability.

Can you get Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing for compatibility with your device, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. The App Store remains the place to get the app.

The app interface is in English. How do I follow the manual?

The manual uses English interface labels such as Home, Config, Settings, Add Server, Subscribe, and Global Routing so you can find them by name. Confirm which screen you're on, then follow the relevant steps. Check the language settings provided for the app on your device; available options may vary.
